2004 Expanded production of solar cells to 90MW in July. Commenced sales of residential small-capacity and outdoor-use photovoltaic inverters.
2005 Expanded production capacity of solar cells to 135MW in April. First sales of industrial-use photovoltaic inverters with operational data monitoring system. Established residential-use inverter assembly plant at Nagano factory. Began sales of photovoltaic modules in the United States.
2006 Commenced sales of residential-use photovoltaic inverters with 95.5% efficiency, the highest in the industry. Began sales of photovoltaic inverters to European market. Began production of larger PV cells (156 x 156 mm).
2007 Developed practical-use multi-crystalline silicon solar cell with worlds highest conversion efficiency rate of 18%. Began sale and production of UD5 series photovoltaic modules.
2008 Mitsubishi Electric Develops Practical-Use Multi-Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell with World's Highest Conversion Efficiency Rate of 18.6%
